Yesterday afternoon, I had the pleasure of visiting the Museum of Contemporary Art in Downtown! The main exhibit consisted of a polyester fabric installation of artist Do Ho Suh's former New York apartment and studio, which was absolutely beautiful.

Me :+)

I loved how he even recreated the bathroom tiles.
His attention to detail was incredible and left me in awe.
Each area was divided based on fabric color, so it was fascinating to see how he had connected everything.
Even the chain inside the toilet was made of fabric!
In another room, there were different framed works that he did as well as the blueprints or the patterns he used to recreate his home.
In the two pieces below, he embedded thread in STPI cotton paper which was something I had never seen or heard of before!
The method he used to press the thread down into the paper was fascinating. I'd love to try creating a piece like this someday!
I learned some new things by going to this exhibit and if any of you live in San Diego, please take some time out of your day to check it out! This solo exhibition is open until this July at the MCASD. Thank you for reading, and come again!
