Anime Expo: Day 1-2

So if you guys follow my other social media accounts (primarily Twitter) you'd know that I spent this weekend in LA for Anime Expo! It was held at the convention center in downtown and this was my second year going. I had a 4-day badge but went on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday since I was really busy Thursday, but I still had an amazing time! I have so much to share so I decided I'm going to be splitting up my blogposts into the con days I went to! For now, I'll just be talking about the first day I went to, Friday!

The entrance hall is always super duper crowded! I love to walk around here because it's easy to find really good cosplayers.

Gus and I cosplayed as Ness and Paula from Earthbound/Mother 2 this day and had so much fun. All day people were yelling "Ness!!!" but not so many "Paula!!!"s :-( The guys at the Fakku booth complimented my cosplay though lol and I got excited when people knew who I was ;u;

Here are some of the major industry booths!

This HunterxHunter cosplay group was so cute I couldn't pass up taking a picture with them!

There was also this one booth that sold all of these Sriracha plashes/inflatables omg I rly wanted one but I was saving up my money for artist alley heh

Of course I had to visit the Omocat booth again this year! I really wanted to buy a demon boy sweatshirt and stickers but I figured I could just get them sometime online so again, I ended up saving my money for other things!

I can't fully express in words how happy I was to see that there was a Gudetama booth! I love this new Sanrio character I want ALL of their merchandise *sobs*

I also met the lovely Aida and Hannah! You can find their twitters here and here. Aida and I met last year at AX but we didn't get any pictures so I'm glad we were able to this time around! I was so in love with Hannah's Kars cosplay, she even had the squirrel! I don't know who the Rohan cosplayer was but they also did an amazing job!

This same day we went to the official JoJo panel where a couple of dubbed episodes were premiered and Ben Diskin (the English voice of Joseph) and Naokatsu Tsuda (the animation director) were in the panel!

For lunch, Gustavo and I got these sushi burritos from a food truck right outside the convention center and they were so good! There's an eatery in San Diego now that sells sushi burritos so we'll have to try those as well and compare.

Again I'll be posting separate blog posts on what I did the other two days of AX, other LA adventures, and a con haul throughout this week. Thank you for reading!
