So this afternoon, my family, Gustavo, and I went to Mitsuwa and Daiso! My family and I haven't been in forever so we were happy. I like to ask a lot of questions about what packaging on products say, etc and sometimes trying to find it out myself can get a lil tricky, so my mom being able to read/speak Japanese definitely comes in handy!! Anyways, we mostly just buy a whole bunch of snacks whenever we go to Mitsuwa since we can get other groceries elsewhere (▰˘◡˘▰)
I almost wanted to get this qt cat paw candy but they were gummies, which I don't really enjoy (bLeH)
I grew up eating dorayaki as a dessert/snack but everything else was something I haven't tried before. The cookies and chips I picked out look super duper cute and I'm sure they taste as yummy as they appear to be! The CalorieMate Block was actually for Gustavo who wanted it because of Snake from Metal Gear Solid 3 heh
The following products were ones from Daiso Japan! I've never been here so I was uber excited. I have a hair bow from Daiso but it was given to me by a family friend who lives in Japan. For those who don't know, Daiso is pretty much a Japanese dollar store, where everything is (usually) $1.50. They sell anything from kitchenware to makeup and what I mainly got were school supplies!
I've been wanting to get new hair accessories for spring so I was thrilled to have seen these! I also picked out the pen/pencil combo because they reminded me of a tomato and corn, oddly enough. It isn't noticeable from far away but the yellow pencil has ridges on it that reminded me of corn! I also got this gingham/floral print storage box below which I plan to store my finished sewing projects in. At the moment, all the bags I've finished sewing are just in this larger reusable bag (that I keep all my fabric in) and I'd like to get more organized with my sewing things.
Do you have any favorite Japanese snacks? Mine is usually anything with anko or matcha! Thank you for reading and feel free to leave your responses below!!
