Last week, I began spring break and was lucky enough to visit my dad! He lives a few hours north of San Diego, and I usually take the train whenever I see him. This is my last spring break of high school but I didn't do anything uber extravagant.
My family lives near farms, so we were able to get all these strawberries for pretty cheap. Strawberries are my favorite fruit!! Seeing my dog again also made me so happy heh I love him so much! I've had him since I was in third grade ;u;
Since my family all have annual passes, we went to Universal Studios. As you can see below, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is in the process of being built which I'm so excited about!! There is already one in Orlando but I'm super excited that one is being built on the west coast. Like many people my age, I grew up reading books and watching films from this series so having the change to walk down Diagon Alley is thrilling!
Construction is said to be done in 2016, so I'll have to renew my pass. I hope I'll be able to go to Ollivanders as well as try some butterbeer heh
Some construction is also being done around where the Simpson's ride is, and it looks like they're building more stores and eateries to recreate Springfield.
I didn't get any pictures of the construction but when I passed by, there were people painting some of the buildings. The park as a whole wasn't that crowded, probably because I went on a Monday.
It was a bit difficult finding something to eat that wasn't a salad so I was glad when I found this little deli place! My sister took pictures of me eating a sub and I look a lil goofy but it was so yummy! The sub had tomato, provolone, mozzarella, basil, and onion in it. I'd like to try making it at home but with a lighter and flatter bread. 10/10 recommend
