Spring Break: Projects ✿

This break, I had a few sewing goals I strived for and although I didn't meet them all, I'm happy with what I was able to accomplish! I made a few bags, worked on an embroidery project I put on hold a couple months ago, and *attempted* to begin my Yukako Yamagishi cosplay construction. Which is where that goal-meeting didn't play out (╯︵╰,)

I hadn't anticipated that beginning this cosplay would be so difficult for me bleh it doesn't look too difficult as it's essentially a seifuku but 10/10 would not recommend attempting to make clothes with no pattern, no experience, or no guidance/direction because it is stressful!! There are lots of seifuku patterns online but I have no idea how to modify those patterns to fit the one I need and the more tutorials I find, the more questions arise! I feel stuck ;-/ But oh well, everyone has to start somewhere! My biggest challenge right now is creating a pattern that'll fit me as well as adding darts in it *sighs*

On the other (more positive) hand, I went to the fabric store at the start of spring break and picked out what I thought was the cutest fabric and made these bags with them! Making these made me uber pleased because I love gingham and strawberries; how fitting was it that they were paired onto the same fabric?!! They were both commissioned and a few people have asked for one as well but I listed one in my shop to sell, as I can get more zippers and fabric easily!

The pink lining looks different in both bags because I took these pictures under different lighting but I used the same pink fabric for both! The left has a red zipper while the right has a pink zipper. I am also making a couple others with cream zippers.

While I do have a lot of strawberry fabric, I also decided to make this bag as well! The first photo was taken outside and the second inside, but it's lined with maroon fabric while the exterior is a dark purple. I also embroidered a tooth onto the bottom right of the bag. This is actually for sale as well! My 3DS XL can fit snugly inside and it measures at 7" x 4" which is the same size as all the other zippered bags I've made recently.

Did any of you guys accomplish something during this break that you were proud of? Let me know!! Share it with the world below!! Thanks for reading (~ ̄▽ ̄)~
